“Andy designed and facilitated a bespoke workshop for a group of Health Outcomes Consultants within the Pharmaceutical industry. I found Andy's approach very flexible and it was clear that Andy was very keen to ensure his workshop offered tailored value to our team.
I was impressed with the amount of research Andy did prior to the workshop to understand our world (working with the NHS). The delivery of the workshop was facilitation (no power point slides!) and all members of the team were highly engaged. The workbooks Andy had designed to help people capture notes and to write down comments during breakout sessions worked very well.
As a direct result of Andy’s workshop, we are now implementing a “networking strategy” that is aligned to supporting our key business goal. Andy’s advice/insights have made me re-think all my customer interactions and even in the short term I am getting results.
The “after” support Andy has provided in terms of “reminder videos” and 1:1 phone conversations has been much appreciated. ”
Adam Newman, Health Outcomes Consultant, GSK
“It is great to work with a speaker like Andy who really wants to understand the audience he speaks to and tailors his content to them.
It's also great to have all the post event content Andy prepared specifically for us and so quickly.
It has been a pleasure to work with him.”
Galina Lebedeva, Education & Events Senior Co-ordinator, Wella UK & Ireland
“Andy has provided three fantastic talks for us as part of a "Networking" programme he tailored to our needs. He is really engaging and left the audience wanting more which is a rarity when you work in Finance! He is extremely professional and personable and it felt like Andy really knew the topics and had researched the audience. Just thinking about what the next set of talks he can provide will be...!”
Nicola Hradek, Co-Chair HSBC Balance Employee Network
“Andy presented an excellent tailored session on networking to BDO’s directors and principals. He came highly recommended and the feedback received by attendees completely supported that he was the right person to invite as an external speaker to our event. At each stage of the event from planning to delivery to follow up, Andy’s approach was extremely impressive. He spent time at the outset understanding us, the way we work and our key objectives, and this continued with discussions with us in the run up to the event to shape the session to our needs. His delivery was really engaging and struck a great balance of encouraging group based discussion and provoking thoughts through his skilled insight. After the event he has followed up with us in terms of key messages specific to our session. With Andy’s involvement we were able to fully meet the aims of the session and I would wholeheartedly recommend others to have him run a session based on the benefits of him doing so for us”
Andrew Kelly, Director Human Capital Services, BDO llp
“I worked with Andy for Unity, the Women Initiative at PayPal. Andy delivered a networking training in London and Paris. He joined us for a 1.5 hour workshop to speak about the importance of investing and utilising your network internally and externally. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive and we will continue to run the training in other offices in EMEA.”
Astrid Huijssoon, Senior Marketing Manager Cross Border Trade - PayPal CEMEA
“Andy's 'The Networking Mindset' networking event was fascinating. I've been to loads of networking events over the years which are always full of people who don't quite know why they're there.... myself included. Really enjoyed it, and would highly recommend.”
Nicholas Harkin, Head of Risk & Governance at Close Brothers Retail Finance
“You created a nice WARM atmosphere and at the same time you kept the tension alive : the one we can experience when we are networking (a bit anxious, talking about yourself, wanting to be somewhere else ...) We could FEEL that members were building a rapport with you. So it was not Facilitator and Audience but an interactive dynamic. Not only because of the activities but because of the way you were interacting with us - A bit difficult to describe but it felt as if you were part of the game, yet facilitating the event, providing some "theory" but along with the practice. I liked this very much - not often the case.
Instead of using facilitating, maybe I would say that you were harmonising our experience, putting words on it so that we can understand what is going on at our end, and then giving advice, tips. So the bit in the middle is what made your approach different from a lot of networking sessions I have attended!
There was no feeling of lecturing at all... which is also rare considering that you have written books. You never retrench in your knowledge. I would describe this as your ability of being present in what's going on... You work with "what is going on right now" not what you have in your books... not to say you don't use it but it is not your starting point.
One thing I need to repeat because it was particularly good : the transition between all activities were very smooth. As an audience we don't experience "breaks".
Armelle Cressent - Women in Banking and Finance Networks Committee
“I found the session with Andy really interesting and helpful. It offered a different perspective to development sessions I have been to before and it made me really think about how I was positioning myself at work and what I needed to be doing differently.
In particular it made me realise that I had really neglected my networks, both internal and external, since returning from maternity leave and this has prompted me to be much better at getting out and about to see people. It was the first Balance event I've been to and has definitely made me keen to attend more.”
Tori Henderson, Senior Public Policy Manager HSBC
“It was lovely listening to your talk yesterday.
It was the best talk I’ve ever been to. Loved the content, pacing, delivery, structure. Your message was very memorable (imparting that much information can leave listeners forgetting what was said) and you managed the balance between substance, detail and memorability well.
I particularly liked:
- That your angle, style and approach was what Networking MEANS TO YOU (hence it was unique, individual).
- That you described contrast and boundaries eg. difference between Network and Friends.
- Hilarious story of the man who stood by the front door and handed out cards.
- That it’s ultimately what someone’s willing to do for you.
- The quick “breakout” tasks – I actually learnt stuff from my group’s feedback to my own challenge!
- Explained what makes the subject special, different.
You said you were meeting with someone next week to take the presentation up a notch. In my opinion it’s already broadcast quality. I wouldn’t change anything to structure or content. And I think you’ve got something there with your personal attitude and approach. But there was also oodles of substance and examples in what you said too.
If you’re wondering what motivates me to take the time to write this - I’ve been to so many bad presentations that I had to make sure you know that yours was brilliant.”
Rebecca Aguilar, BBC Worldwide
“Andy came to speak at BDO about what networking really means and how best to be most effective. In this age of 24 hour news and demands on our time, Andy’s simple and concise tricks and tips were much appreciated and very well received. I would recommend Andy to come and spend time with any team that wants to maximize the time of its busy people out in the market”
Tomas Freyman, Partner, Valuations. BDO llp
“As head of PayPal UK's Women's Initiative Network, I met with Andy to discuss what he could bring to a WIN session. Andy was extremely helpful, attentive to our network's objectives, goals and audience. Andy's 'It's Who Knows You' seminar was personalised to PayPal and delivered to a very responsive and engaged audience of over 60 delegates. The feedback we received from members was overwhelmingly positive, making it one of the best sessions we had all year. I would strongly recommend Andy to speak at your event and his positive demeanour makes him a pleasure to speak with. ”
Aileen Parsons, Relationship Manager - Strategic Client Services, Paypal
“As an IIP gold standard employer, the on-going development of our staff is paramount to the future success of the business. After seeing Andy present at an industry event I knew he was someone that could make a positive impact within our organisation and help us with our business objectives.
Andy’s style suited our company values perfectly as it is very much based around letting people learn at their own pace and be part of the sessions instead of just being presented to. There was a mixture of experience, job roles, nationalities and seniority in the room and Andy ensured that everyone felt this training was directed at them, such is his way with words.
The only negative from the team was that the session was too short, they all enjoyed and understood the benefit to them so much they wanted more. We have put in place follow up sessions to ensure this valuable knowledge is utilised not just with the team directly but also cascaded globally throughout our organisation.
I would recommend Andy and his network to any employer looking to empower a team to unleash their inner networker and therefore increase business growth performance.
Robert Kenward, Global Development Director, Banks Sadler
“Andy worked with two sales teams at IMG and Wembley Stadium to help us develop a more focused approach to networking and one more likely to deliver a successful return. The teams were mixed in terms of experience, skill and comfort when networking.
In the three months since Andy delivered his sessions, I've noticed a clear change in the approach taken by everyone who participated. They are more considered about which events they choose to attend, prepare more thoroughly and are more confident when at the events. Most importantly, their diaries are full with follow up meetings with people they have met at those events, and they have been more focused on building relationships with those people rather than selling to them.
We have already received a number of referrals as a result.”
Andy O'Sullivan, Head of Sales - Hospitality, Wembley Stadium
“We engaged Andy Lopata to conduct a seminar on networking at our offices in Waterloo, Belgium.
Andy is an energetic presenter who quickly captured our audience's attention. The content of his presentation was excellent and fostered lively commentary and questions. The break-outs were especially constructive and everyone enjoyed the six degrees of separation exercise.
Networking is a critical skill for success and Andy offered many helpful tips that were relevant and useful to our pan-European employees. We will definitely have Andy back for another session and are looking for other ways to partner with him. ”
Jennifer Rademaker, Head of Strategy Development Europe, MasterCard
“"I was captivated by Andy's insightful and thought-provoking workshop. The group activity of testing 6 degrees of separation was particularly powerful. Masterminding was not something I had heard of before, but found equally impressive. You could feel the energy in the room at the end of the workshop. Several people commented that the event had changed their lives!"
Miranda Abraham, Chair, Women in Banking and Finance
“Andy has successfully been working to support me at Molnlycke over the past few years and in a number of different ways. His enthusiastic and interactive presentation at our National conference was very much appreciated by all and his series of workshops for my leadership team has been put to significant positive use. Effective networking is critical to our organisation and like many others, resonates strongly within the challenges we face as an industry.”
Shona MacDonald, Business Director UK & Ireland, Wound Care. Molnlycke Health Care
“I attend lots of these events and am usually happy if I come away with a useful tip or two. Andy exceeded my expectations and I filled two pages of my notebook! A great workshop all round”
Julie Ashmore, Co-Chair, HSBC Balance Network
“Andy has successfully elevated networking into more of a strategic arena ...................rather than it just being a "skills" thing.
Phil Jesson, Director of Speaker Development Academy for Chief Executives
“I very much enjoyed Andy Lopata's presentation on Building Social Capital. His energy and love for his subject, in which he is clearly an expert, drew in his audience wonderfully. His style of interacting with each attendee, throwing out questions, breaking into small focus groups yet keeping the pace rippling along suited the calibre of the delegates. I also enjoyed the course very much having a lot of fun yet have taken away a wealth of information and contacts. Invaluable.
Theresa Summers, Instructional Designer, Department of Health
I am just sitting here with Ben Freedman from Ella and told him about my recent capacity building training delivered for UNHCR in Uganda. I was training refugees in economic literacy, social entrepreneurship etc.
As I had come to partake in your training session just a day before flying down to Uganda, I actually incorporated the essence of your teaching about networking in my training - and taught the refugee group how to source their immediate environment and relationships for experts and potential business partners. In a single home work evening they came up with 300 connections over 4 levels of connection. It helped them structure their marketplace and will guide them in the future in accessing new opportunities.
I just wanted to make sure to tell you this story. Happy to chat more about it in the future. Many thanks again for the great inspirational lesson.
All the best,
Frederic Kastner, Head of Social Innovation, Fuse Foundation
“This is a man that is close to many people's heart. Many people's lives and organisation behaviours changed because of him.
Nowdays many people see me as a natural gifted networker and very few would believe that I'm actually a typical INTROVERT by nature. Andy actually believes that introverts make better communicators because of their attentive listening skills! Andy has a genuine interest in people and an unusually big heart. He always gives without expectation of short-term returns.
Not only my individual life has had a total makeover after I met Andy, as a result of my personal improvement, the networks that I lead are now making a much bigger impact in the society. I can never thank Andy enough and would highly recommend him any time without hesitation.”
Ruth Lau, Central Marketing, HSBC Private Bank
“As the Institute's keynote speaker at this year’s Fellow’s Symposium Andy’s contribution was above and beyond expectations. This wasn’t just another presentation for him as he took great care to discuss our potential requirements and to understand the audience and what we hoped to achieve. As a result the 90 minutes was well crafted with multiple opportunities for the attendees to be directly involved with just the right amount of humour peppered throughout. The use of personal stories added relevance and as a result I have already received three emails and two telephone calls from attendees who have expressly advised that as a direct result of the presentation they will without doubt be changing the way in which they network. A huge success – thank you.”
Michael Strawbridge, Head of Member Services, Learning and Performance Institute
“Andy worked with my business partner and me for a number of months as a referral and networking coach.
Our business has demonstrably grown due to the new techniques and skills learned through working with Andy.”
Dan Hall, Financial Advisor, Merrill Lynch
“Andy ran a fantastic networking session, tailored specifically around the needs of the team, filled with real life examples and practical tips to both give confidence and suggest new ways of working. His enthusiastic and empathetic style meant that the team felt comfortable to ask questions and walked away with lots of new ideas to try.”
Emily Rycroft Deputy Director of Development and Alumni Relations at University of Birmingham
“"Andy has a tremendous reputation across the women's networking groups among the TNON membership. He has spoken for many of the networks and always gets excellent feedback. He has consistently supported women's networks and diversity in general for a number of years and is the consummate networker, always practicing what he preaches."
Vanessa Vallely, Managing Director, We are the City; Co-Founder, The Network of Networks
“Andy Lopata is a true role model for any aspiring professional speaker in my view”
Heather Townsend, author of The Financial Times Guide to Business Networking
“At Aquilant Specialist Healthcare Services we recently engaged Andy to speak at our Divisional conference.
As you would expect with someone of his experience Andy immediately got to work and engaged the audience around the topic of networking with some of our key stakeholders groups.
The keynote speech was tailored to our needs and Andy gave additional value in spending the day in our break out groups to ensure the messages were relevant to each team.
Feedback from all of the teams was positive and we will no doubt continue to explore with Andy how we can leverage the network of each of our sales team.”
John Bentley, Managing Director, Aquilant Specialist Healthcare Services
“There is a handful of people who I would consider really an expert in networking and Andy is one of the few people on that list.”
Dr. Ivan Misner, Founder and CEO, BNI
“Andy was one of highest rated speakers for 2012. This was critically important as he was the lead-off speaker in our inaugural year of the Russell Women’s Network.
He worked with me to ensure that the message was consistent and genderless (as men were encouraged to attend). It was professionally done and consistently delivered.
I think it speaks miles that Andy was able to get good crowds with a nice balance of men and women at a women’s network event. I personally have used his tips and bits from his speech to expand my network exponentially in the last year, as have my colleagues.”
Jill Naas, Director, Investment Division. Russell Investments
“It was an absolute pleasure to work with you! Your balance of information, practical interaction and anecdotal evidence was perfect for the delegates – they seemed enthralled!”
Tracy Johnson, Marketing Services Director, Eventia
“Andy has delivered a full year programme for Charteris to advise our consultants on the power we have in our own personal networks and he has trained us on how to look to grow our network to deliver business building opportunity. I have been very impressed with the amount of original content and tailoring Andy has done to make the training sessions relevant and stimulating for those involved. Andy’s approach has been to look at how to refine and maximise the chances of achieving recommendation to allow our business to grow opportunity. Andy had a high reputation, which on the strength of what he has done for us is certainly justified. I think all the participants have been able to write new business as a result of this programme. We intend to continue to use Andy to help us develop and I would wholeheartedly recommend Andy to support networking and business building initiatives in other companies.”
Andy McKenzie, Managing Consultant, Charteris plc
“Andy is a great professional! He is engaging, focuses on games and case studies and is excellent in interacting with the audience. The best part is that he truly believes in networking and is actually really good at it!
We've got excellent feedback from the audience and I would definitely recommend him for your next event. ”
Ovanes Ovanessian, CEO Web & Events, Bulgaria
“We had not previously used a speaker that is not involved with our sector (UK boarding schools) before so it was a bit of a risk, having heard speakers at other conferences whose material doesn’t relate well to our sector. However, I explained this to Andy who was very generous with his time and we had a meeting together, several phone calls and he spent time on the phone talking to a couple of key people in our sector to ensure he did his research.
I was delighted with his presentation and within about 10 minutes I could feel the positive reaction of the audience (about 120). Andy’s session lasted for an hour and a half and involved the audience doing some discussions in small groups. The feedback was excellent during the day, as has been the feedback from the forms we gave out. Almost everyone gave top marks. Several people were surprised to find out that Andy didn’t work in our sector as he related his knowledge so well and confidently, which was key to getting the audience to buy into his advice.
I can thoroughly recommend Andy. He is true professional and an excellent conference speaker and trainer.”
Suzanne Rowse, Director, British Boarding Schools Workshop
“As an expert in business networking Andy brings both a professionalism and real passion to his training in the subject. He has a can do and flexible attitude and is happy to develop and shape the content in line with the clients changing needs. Feedback from participants on Andy's workshops has been consistently very positive. He really does practice what he preaches and as a generous networker he brings added valued to the training he delivers.”
Una Murphy, Manager BBC Careerlink
“I would not be exaggerating in saying that last night was the most well received and successful event YEN London has had in over two years. It sets us up very well for this coming year and although it has heightened expectations on what we must deliver to our members, that is exactly the kind of problem which any Chair would be pleased to have. ”
Jairo Jaramillo - Chairman, London Young Engineers Network
“Andy spoke at our sales conference last week. We have used every year different external speakers but now we had for the first time a person who really put in extra energy to make it work. Topic - how to use networking to develop your business - was interesting enough as itself, but the way Andy studied our company and needs was really good. After pre-study including several phone calls and e-mails, he spend whole conference day with us before his own presentation. This gave him a deeper understanding of our needs and situation which he used during his presentation. Great work!”
Tommi Hanninen - Head of Business Communication Division, Stralfors Ab
“Andy has been a keynote speaker at all four of Medilink's networking events during 2011 -2012. We work with companies from the UK medical and healthcare industry and Andy's presentations at each event have sent our delegates home with some sound advice and easy-to-use tips to improve their networking skills. The feedback we've received from the attendees has been excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andy to any organisation looking for a speaker on networking skills and social media. ”
Lucy Watkins, Medilink UK
“I would like to thank you on behalf of the Actuarial Profession, for the excellent service you provided to our delegates at the talk you gave on ‘How to Become a Confident and Effective Networker’. You were very pleasant, punctual, reliable and informative.
From the feedback we received, our delegates thoroughly enjoyed your talk and they found it very interesting. As a result of your advice, they are now able to network more confidently and effectively, enabling them to engage in further business for their companies.
Many thanks once again, it was a pleasure to work with you.”
Kate Heyburn, Conference Coordinator, Actuarial Profession
“A great example of a true professional in action yesterday. Andy Lopata took the stage at a business expo in Cardiff and unfortunately a power outage meant no slides and no mic which, considering this was in an exhibition hall, you can imagine the noise. But being a true professional Andy delivered his keynote pitch perfect despite the lack of slides and poor acoustics and kept the audience in their seats for the full 45 mins. ”
Rob Warlow, Business Loan Services
“Andy Lopata was a guest speaker at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK's 6th Annual Welcome to the United Kingdom event in Stockholm in 2012. He delivered an insightful presentation on the benefits of exporting to the UK, with particular reference to the importance of networking. Andy is a strong public speaker and manages to engage and captivate his audience. I have no hesitation recommending him.”
Emma Blackmore - Communications Manager, Swedish Chamber of Commerce UK
“This is fascinating. This is something that has not really occurred to me in 25 years in the industry. I've written marketing strategies, sales strategies, product strategies; I've never, ever, thought about a networking strategy or a referrals strategy.
And I actually feel quite embarrassed about that. But now, having spoken to you, I realise the importance of the opportunity that can come from that.”
Roger Edwards, Marketing Strategist, Speaker and Presenter of the MPAF Podcast
“A couple of years ago we needed to make an important decision regarding the future direction of a big part of our business. The new project needed a sizeable investment of time, money and other resources. Therefore, we needed reliable and expert advice to ensure we make a sound decision.
The project was about business networking and we knew Andy Lopata was a force to reckon with in that area. So, we contacted him and he kindly accepted to come to London, meet us and help us with the big decision. The meeting took place and the big decision was made.
But what is important and I couldn't keep quiet since then was first, the massive saving that we made by choosing to consult with Andy. A wrong decision can cost thousands of pounds for years to come and sometimes the damage is irreversible and devastating. On the other hand, correct strategic decisions will bring prosperity and success to a business for a long time.
The other important aspect was Andy’s exceptional professionalism combined with his vast knowledge of business relationships and networking strategies. His friendly, direct and no-frills approach to the problem made it easy for us to see the situation clearly and understand what otherwise was a complicated strategy. Andy is an excellent communicator with profound understanding of modern business relationships. I do not hesitate to recommend his services to businesses that would like to develop powerful relationships and make the most of the huge potential that correct business relationships can offer.”
Reza Zolfagharifard, General Manager, Z&Z Consulting
“I am very much in the infancy of my St. James’s Place career, as such I had no existing clients and increasing my client base was heavily reliant on referrals. Before I attended a seminar delivered by Andy the only referrals I had gained were more by luck than judgement and were not to the standard I would have hoped. However, since working with Andy he has completely transformed my approach to gaining referrals by implementing a clear strategy for the short, medium and long term. Some of the changes he made were so subtle but have become increasingly effective in helping to grow my client base and in turn have helped me cultivate even stronger relationships with my existing clients. His ongoing support and availability has also been imperative in helping to remain focused on my referral goals. The process to gaining the right referrals does not happen overnight, but executing Andy’s strategy into your daily business routine will lead to referral success.”
Tom Price LLB DipPFS Hodgson Wealth Management
“There was a buzz of anticipation around this event as Andy’s previous talk to our members last year had been incredibly well received. Once again, Andy certainly didn’t disappoint! Our audience was captivated by the engaging way in which Andy delivered his networking tips and they went away inspired, having not only learnt new approaches to networking but also how they could use their networks effectively. Thank you! ”
Sarah Thackray, Service Network
“Andy certainly made a difference on how I normally approach / perceive events such as this.
Ann Azzopardi, Category Buying Manager, Pret a Manger
“I had great the great privilege of learning from Andy on one of his business coaching sessions at Natwest.
I can honestly say that what i learned from Andy not only helped me achieve outstanding results in my working environment but also with personal interactions.
What I learned and implemented has significantly changed my prospects for the future and given me the confidence to undertake tasks that i would previously have been intimidated by.
Fawzan Chaudhri, Senior Business Manager, Royal Bank of Scotland
“Andy delivered two extremely informative and well received sessions at the inaugural Sage World event in 2010. They were so well received, we decided to invite Andy back for a second year to deliver another two insightful sessions. In the feedback from attendees at Andy's two talks in 2011, around 80% of respondents said both that the presentations were excellent and that they received excellent value from the sessions. Andy has been described as inspirational, engaging, informative, fantastic and superb! If you are looking for a motivational networking strategist, we would recommend Andy Lopata every time.”
Joanne Leonard, Operations Manager Benchmark Communications
“I was one of the Speakers at the BIG Event that Andy was Chairing. He worked very hard before the event and after it to maintain contact and ensure that we all received the support we needed and felt valued and looked after. His linking between speeches was excellent and the creative way that he wrote and introduced the speakers was brilliant, clear and motivating.
Thank you Andy, I would recommend you as a speaker and Chairman in the future
Penny Power, Founder, Ecademy
“Andy Lopata has been presenting a series of referral strategy seminars to mallowstreet clients. The feedback we have had has been exceptional. Andy's approach to generating new business through referrals is simple to understand and easy to implement. Many of our clients have recognised simple steps that they have failed to take which could lift their business to the next level.
Andy's style is very engaging and he involves everyone present. There has been a tremendous buzz and positivity after each of his sessions and people have gone away having benefited significantly.
Robert Gardner, Founder and Co-CEO Redington, Co-Founder mallowstreet
“Andy was a guest speaker at one of European Young Professionals networking events in London in 2007. The 400 people who showed up were blown away by Andy's presentation and it was in fact one of the key reasons behind EYP London's early success.
Nick Jonsson, Founder, European Young Professionals
“There are many motivational speakers on the circuit who leave behind them just a short lived glow and then there are the subject matter pragmatic, passionate presenters who can potentially change the long term way their audience thinks or operates. I’d put Andy Lopata in the latter category.
We invited Andy to present at our annual Sales Conference how to use social networking to help drive pipeline. In a 40 minute prescriptive tips and tricks pitch, he challenged the audience to see social media as the means to an end goal of targeting individuals with whom they wish to engage.
That Andy succeeded was reflected in the very immediate way our sales execs – and others in the audience - responded to his recommendations by taking a long hard look at their social media interactions (and those of their target prospects) rather than just networking or blogging for its own sake.
If your company needs some structure and purpose behind its business social networking then I would have no hesitation in recommending you engage with Andy to help you in this fast emerging aspect of the sales and marketing mix.”
Trevor Salomon – Director, Corporate Marketing, IFS
“"I hired Andy to Host the inaugral Camden and Islington Business Awards 2011. It was the first event of its nature for the Islington Chamber of Commerce and we required an exceptional speaker and host to make this event a success. I was not disappointed; Andy showed a high level of professionalism, engaging with a room of 150 business owners and business leaders in a personable and encouraging manner. Andy gave the event an added level of sophistication. I would have no hesitation recommending Andy and would most certainly hire him for a future event." ”
Ronke Lawal, CEO Islington Chamber of Commerce
“Having worked with Andy on many occasions as a keynote speaker, he has always delivered a fantastic and insightful presentation, to great acclaim and feedback from our clients, across a wide range of corporate and networking events.
He is utterly professional, highly knowledgeable in the field of professional networking, but more importantly, knows how to connect and get through to people, whether for effective team-building within an organisation or in the wider context of keynote speaking at large corporate events.
He is truly an expert in his field and can accommodate a small bespoke training session or large global projects for multinationals. Phenomenal value delivering far reaching results ... and connections, of course.”
Franco de la Croix-Vaubois, Operations Director, World Launch Group
“Andy delivered a seminar to our Financial Advisors which provided them with a number of simple and useful referral related strategies that they could implement quickly and easily. The seminar was well received and greatly benefited from the effort Andy put in to speak with key people in advance of the session. Andy's style was very engaging and helped to back up the message he was delivering.
Mike Elgin, Vice President Leadership Development, Global Wealth & Investment Management and Global Products & Solutions, Merrill Lynch
“I was privileged to attend a seminar where Andy was our Guest speaker; He was precise, motivational, inspiring and captivating throughout.
Su Marin, Personal Development Manager, Forever and Ever
“In the pre-event correspondence, you were the most professional speaker we’ve ever had. By asking great questions as you did, it helped to make us more professional event organisers. ”
Jackie Barrie, Co-President, Professional Speaking Association South East England
“Andy was the guest speaker at the charity lunch organised for the Hoxton Apprentice Professional Women's Network. He spoke about networking, a subject in which we all thought we were well versed. But he brought such a fresh insight into this old subject that, judging by the scribbling going on in a room of 78 women, his advice will be acted on by the top-calibre executives attending his words so carefully. He was both professional, informative and amusing.”
Lady Val Corbett, Director, Hoxton Apprentice ltd
“Andy's methods and teaching obviously work because I came across his
services through a recommendation from a friend who had worked with him. I had no hesitation inviting Andy to speak to 90 fitness professional at the Fitness Entrepreneur Bootcamp where he delivered an exceptional presentation / breakout group combination.
Often you walk away thinking a presentation was impressive but with little
to actually use. The feedback after Andy's 3 hour workshop was excellent and everyone felt they could immediately begin to both utilise their existing networks and connections much more effectively and now use a more laser-focussed approach for EFFECTIVE networking, rather than handing out business cards and hoping for the best.
I RECOMMEND Andy Lopata to anyone looking to increase the efficiency and productivity of their networking and referral strategy!”
Jon le Tocq, Full Force Fitness
“I had the pleasure of hearing Andy speak at the ARC Retail Conference where he made the opening address. I was impressed not only by the quality of his presentation but also by its content. It’s clear to me that Andy is a networking champion.
Leslie Coelho, CTO, Unipower Solution Europe Limited
“Andy is highly creative, personable and driven, bringing excellence and integrity to everything he touches. He has been an enormous help to me, as adviser and mentor, and I would recommend anyone wishing to learn more about the potentials of Business Networking, or to maximise their returns in this area, to look no further.
Jon Lloyd, Owner, Instigate Teletraining
“Andy Lopata’s insights into referrals and networking should be taught in all induction programmes. Networking and referrals should not be thought of as another sales skill or tactic, but as part of the company’s values and culture. In difficult and challenging times those that master the basics of networking and how to obtain referrals will see a growth in sales and revenue at almost zero acquisition cost. During good economic times those that master these skills will gain market share at almost no cost. So, the question is not why or when you should start working on this. The question is, what are you waiting for?
Ignacio Hernandez Managing Director, EMEA, Currencies Direct Limited
“The striking thing about Andy is that he writes a book on networking that demystifies the process and shows you all the things you know you should be doing - but never really get round to. Then he surprises you by practising what he preaches!
Russ King, Product Manager, Monster.com
“The consummate professional and down to earth guy whose passion lies in seeing you succeed.
Michael Clark, Business Connector & Sales, Talent Triumphant Events
“Andy is an outstanding networker in the true sense. He understands the mindset, the passion and the perseverance that is necessary to be successful at and through networking. He shares his knowledge generously. He is great fun to be with, has a wicked sense of humour and a twinkle in his eye.
All of the above translates into him wearing his expertise lightly, which to me distinguishes the real expert.
Nicole Bachmann, Coach, Trainer, Facilitator, Brook & Mann
“Andy’s ability to understand diverse business sectors very quickly is impressive, but it is his open approach and integrity that mark him out as someone who really understands the value of relationships.
John Cave Strategic Business Development Manager, EH Smith Chairman, FORCE (Forum for Constructing Excellence) in Coventry and Warwickshire at Constructing Excellence
“We have struggled to get a car company to work with us for a car reward campaign. Following Andy’s recent presentations in Vietnam and reading Recommended, I took another approach. I called one of my Japanese friends. He is working on corporate sales and business development for a hospital. I asked him if he knew any of the top people of the Japanese car companies in Vietnam. He sent me a list with the contact details of 5 of them, including General Directors!
I will take my Japanese friend for dinner next week to brief him about my project. He will then sell the idea to the Japanese car companies and will also arrange for me to meet them.
I think this will help since my local team have got stock at the marketing department with these car companies. Now I go straight to the top through a referral!
Nick Jonsson, General Manager Sophie Paris Vietnam

“Networking is a key element of any business's marketing strategy. To network effectively takes thought and consideration, rather than simply going along to an event.
I have found that Andy Lopata understands perfectly how to approach networking with a view to getting results and puts it across extremely well, whether giving talks to an audience or 1-2-1.
Engage with this man!
Rod Sloane, Author of "121 Marketing Ideas to Grow Your Small Business"

“I worked another successful networking event for SMEs last Thursday with Andy as the main speaker. Once again he worked his normal magic
on the audience and very quickly dispelled some (if not all) of those well-worn myths, mistakes and cliches traditionally associated with
This was undertaken with a select group of small to medium business owners and held in a a busy East London banking hall of one of the 'Big 4' .. so absolutely the right place to talk about networking in the upswing, and how to really ride that recovery wave!
We have already had rave reviews back with many saying it's the best networking seminar and event they've ever attended, and many others waxing lyrical how he got through to them via easy-to-understand messages and exercises.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Andy to any business (whatever size) who need to understand exactly why connecting is not enough!”
Glen Addis, East London Business Place

“Earlier this year we made the decision to expand our business and spoke to Andy about changing our networking strategy. He helped us to identify what benefits we were looking for from our networks and which organisations would give us the right support. We set revenue targets which I felt were just about achievable, and have smashed them after only 6 months. Highly recommended!
Kelly Molson, Managing Director, Rubber Cheese ltd

“I've worked with Andy at events where we were both speaking, and also as a delegate at one of his seminars. Not only is he a great guy to be around, (as he's always very considerate, amiable and fun,) his depth of knowledge of networking strategies is staggering.
When presenting or speaking he has an easy to listen to style that grips the audience from the off and holds them.
His insights are fascinating and more importantly he cares about helping the people he meets get the results they need. I cannot recommend Andy highly enough.
John Hotowka, Laughter Dinner Speaker
I've had the pleasure of working with Andy as a client and have also seen him in action at The Swedish Chamber of commerce delivering one of his networking seminars.
To date, I have not seen anyone deliver such a concise, informative, tangible and enjoyable seminar on networking. Andy has the ability to make his audience feel very comfortable and this is vital when it comes to the interactive parts of the seminar. A key element in any speaker is to be able to build trust with an audience, he does this effortlessly. It was plain to see that everyone really enjoyed themselves and at the same time, took real nuggets of knowledge away.
I highly recommend Andy if you are looking to gain a deeper understanding of networking and the strategies that can be employed to enhance your business and the people in it."
Steve Trister, Trister Productions ltd.
“As an event and seminar photographer I get to hear lots of different speakers at nationwide events.

Dianna Bonner, Photographer
“Andy and I shared the stage last night for the pilot of our Building International Social Capital workshop. I'd experienced the practice (helping me find useful, relevant contacts) and this time I saw him preach.
He gave an excellent content-rich, inspiring and focused mini-workshop on building social capital with your friends, families, colleagues and clients. It was great to work with such an expert on internal communications and he had lots of insightful tips on how to enhance your networking skills. A real professional who is passionate about his subject and goes out of his way to help and inspire people.
Neil Urquhart, Partner, Clear Transition
“I very arrogantly thought that there wasn't much anyone could teach me about networking. However, when invited to one of Andy's seminars, I decided to go.
What I learned there has completely changed the way in which I approach networking. I've moved from an 'ad hoc' approach to making my networking activities strategic and goal orientated. I would urge anyone seeking new business to tap into Andy's knowledge first. You'll be far more effective as a result."
Jackie Hutchings, Creative Development, Footdown
“I am delighted that Andy was able to commit his time to help retail job-hunters at our first Career Café. All the attendees found his session to be very powerful, giving them a greater deal of clarity and focus on how their wider network can help them pursue new career options. Their feedback after the event was very positive and Andy's session had exactly the type of impact we hoped for.
Our helpline will be sending his new CD, "How to get a job using your network", out to retailers who contact us about the ReWork programme.

Richard Alvin, Managing Editor, Business Matters magazine
“I had the pleasure of being one of the speakers at The Big Event where Andy was Chairman. Andy is relaxed yet organised. He worked hard to make sure that everything ran to time, while also finding a way to chat with every speaker; thus ensuring the links between speeches worked well. His attention to detail is great. This means that issues, that can have an adverse affect on an event, are dealt with before they arise. I would certainly not hesitate in recommending Andy as an excellent Chairman.
Grant Leboff, Principal, The Intelligent Sales Club
“I have always known as a giving networker and he has been a great champion of my speaking and presenting.
More recently I have seen him emerge as a great conference chairman and facilitator. At THE BIG EVENT Andy skilfully connected the different sections with great introductions and summations of the people who were taking part. A kind, humorous and gentle manner often missing from those who take on this role.
David McQueen, Founder, Magnificent Minds ltd
“An excellent performance as event chairman.
Andy clearly put real effort into preparing for the event, researching what it was about and getting tuned into the issue so that it wasn't the usual vanilla performance you get with so many chairmen.
He also shared his expertise in strategic networking in an affective way which added further value.
Carl French, Director, Facture International ltd
“The Swedish Chamber of Commerce has had Andy Lopata as guest speaker for three consecutive years and the seminars have attracted several hundreds of attendees. The hands-on advice and Andy’s inspiring way of conveying his message have been very much appreciated amongst the Chamber’s Members, to whom the art of networking is essential in times like these. We are already planning for Andy’s return in 2010!”
Emma Berndtzen, Events Manager, Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the United Kingdom
“There are people that write about it and people that talk about it, but Andy Lopata is someone who actually does it! A true authority on relationship marketing in all of its forms, Andy provides inspirational insight and deeply practical know-how in networking and referrals. His giving mentality in connecting others and joining the networking dots is a lesson to everyone in collaborative business. Get around this guy and his work - you'll soon raise your level in your relationships and your business!
Rob Brown, Reputation expert and author of Amazon bestseller 'How to Build Your Reputation'
“Having asked Andy to be the chairman of The Retail Conference 2008 (www.retailconference.co.uk) I was so delighted with the results I invited him back to chair again in 2009. His success was measured on the quality of our delegate's feedback with regard to his style, ability and opening remarks - and that feedback was exceptional. He introduced the concept of networking for personal and business benefits to an amassed crowd of c. 200 senior representatives from the UK retail sector - a topic not typically on their radar - and it was very well received. This year we look forward to taking his opening remarks to the next step in networking for business benefit, considering how online networking has become a potentially lucrative marketing aspect for retailers. On the personal side of networking Andy will be exploring how this can be critical to finding your next career move, particularly in tough times.
A great speaker who can really engage an audience, and an equally great trainer and consultant - I would strongly suggest finding out more about how his services can benefit you!
Clare Rayner, Founder, The Retail Conference
“Andy did a superb job managing the entire flow of the conference. His insights at the beginning and end of presentations were accurate, and more importantly, brief! He picked up on lots of detail and did a wonderful job tying different presenters concepts together to show how they all complemented each other and added to the value of the day.”
Mindy Gibbins Klein Director, The Book Midwife and Ecademy Press Publishing ltd
“We chose Andy to speak at our Introductory Event for the Stimulating Demand High Growth programme funded by Birmingham City Council with the Working Neighbourhoods Fund. Effective networking is crucial for all business folk - particularly growth companies who have minimal resources and where the founder / MD has limited time so needs to invest wisely in the right networks to tap into.
Andy took the brief beautifully, gave a first class involving presentation which played a huge part in ensuring 100% of the participants signed up to join the 12 month programme. Plenty food for thought which the mentors can help the participants implement to their advantage going forward.
Jane Hunt, Birmingham City Group Chair, The Academy for Chief Executives
“A networking event about networking is an ideal platform to challenge common issues and perceptions. Andy’s barrier breaking approach to networking had the audience enthralled and eager to try out their new found skills. Highly entertaining, and with the ability to engage every member of the audience, Andy showed the difference between ‘networking’ and ‘networking for business gain’.”
Anna Patrick, Events Co-Ordinator, Service Network
“A quick note to say a big thank you for delivering a first class event for ELBP yesterday afternoon/evening.
When we initially approached you we were looking to host a networking and capacity building event for local businesses particularly targeting our businesses clustered in Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Havering and Bexley. Improving and developing networking skills had been highlighted by the business community as an area they required support on. We wanted to put on an event that would allow businesses to come away feeling confident that they could get the most out of networking opportunities. We also wanted to make the event interactive.
From the feedback received the delegates felt that the session met their objectives and was excellent.
Mariella Murray, Marketing and Events Manager, East London Business Place
“One of the biggest challenges ISES faced was the lack of interaction between our members at our networking events.
Andy Lopata helped us to change that with an interactive networking skills talk that was highly successful. We received fantastic feedback from our Members following the talk and we have noticed a clear shift in the quality of networking at our events ever since.
Will Broome, President International Special Events Society UK
“I have known Andy in may roles: Author, Business creator, Speaker and outstanding Networker. Last week It was great seeing him use all his talents to drive the "Big Event". He certainly made it big and brought together all the facets of the conference. He is a great conference Chairman.”
Brian Chernett Founder, The Academy for Chief Executives
I want to thank you for a very inspiring day at the Oscars Theater in Stockholm two days ago. I have worked in sales and marketing for 10 years now and I am now about to start my own business so your lecture was very important to me.
I have been on many sales courses and seminars but never hade a chance to learn about how to build a network professionally. Thank you for giving me a chance to see online communities as a powerful business tool for both developing my business but also connect with other people seeking for opportunities to help and inspire them and be helped and inspired.
You delivered your message clearly and it was easy to understand what you wanted to say (even though we was not the English speaking audience, your message came through)
As a result of your lecture I:
1. Created a profile on different online community sites
2. Started networking more professionally
3. Will do my best to pass your message forward ”
Marijana Galic, Stockholm-Belgrade
“I've hired Andy twice to run workshops with my ACE groups - Andy is a true expert in his field with a great approach to conveying his key messages on how and why business leaders must develop specific networking and referral strategies and then showing his audience how to apply the learning directly to their own businesses - a great message from a skilled presenter and workshop leader,I have no hesitation in recommending Andy to anyone who wants to understand more about the art and science of effective networking and referral practice
Gordon Bromley Chairman, Entrepreneurs Board 08 and CEO Forum 14, The Academy for Chief Executives
“Andy is simply the most authoritative, sincere, entertaining and inspiring speaker on the subject of networking I have ever heard. His presentation at the Professional Speakers Association in Wetherby was first class and caused me to completely rethink my networking strategy.”
Clive Wilson Deputy Chairman, Primeast
“We all know that Andy is a highly accomplished platform speaker and master communicator with respect to his passion which is teaching Effective Business Networking. Being the conference M.C and bridge between diverse speakers and topics as he was at yesterday's Big Event in Hatfield is another set of skills entirely. The art is to listen actively, so as to bring relevance and cohesiveness and to identify the seam of gold running through the day. This Andy did superbly. His introductions were delivered with impact, his encapsulations were ‘on point’ and his style was impeccable. It was a delight to share a platform with him.
Dexter Moscow, Audience Dynamics
“Andy recently led a networking event at One Alfred Place entitled Riding the Recovery Wave. It was informative, entertaining and offered plenty to anyone who might have thought they already knew everything there is to know about networking. There was a truly cohesive feeling amongst the attendees at the end of the event and I've already noticed many of them putting into practice what they learnt. In addition, of all the events I've organised at One Alfred Place, I have never received so much unsolicited thanks and positive feedback as I did following this. I'd recommend Andy's services - whether for presentations or more intimate training sessions - wholeheartedly.”
Emma Mortimore Membership Secretary, One Alfred Place
“I was amazed how Andy got the audience to relax and chat easily with each other at the end of a long and intense day. I believe everyone from the naturally outgoing to the more shy and retiring delegates learnt more about making interesting and worthwhile connections.
It also made me think that the networking should have been at the beginning of the day - the delegates could then utilise what they learn and make the networking element of the event even more effective.”
Charlotte Mullady Marketing Manager, Fresh Business Thinking
“Andy Lopata is by far the best speaker we have had in Sweden when it comes to business networking. His way of communicating generates immediate bonds between people. We need to see more of Andy Lopata in Sweden.”
Ronnie Skold, Dagens Ledare
“Andy's message was vital for businesses to hear and attendees went away with a range of ideas they could easily put into practice and which would make a difference. The expert way in which Andy engaged with the audience and involved them in breakout activity meant that people stayed involved throughout and learnt more about themselves, their businesses and each other.”
Nick James Founder, Fresh Business Thinking
“Andy Lopata gave a 30 minute talk on 'Acquisition of Business Through
Introductions'. This was one of the high points of the Academy for Chief
Executives Southern Regional Conference held at Warren House and over 100
Academy members went away richer for the experience of listening to Andy's
talk on getting referral business.
Referral selling really came to life with Andy's inspirational style and his content laden talk brings great value to any audience where sales are important.
Joe Adams Chairman, Academy for Chief Executives Southern Regional Conference 2009
“I recently heard Andy speak about developing a Referral Strategy. Now, I thought that I knew a little about this subject, but Andy really surprised me with the detail and insights he has in this area. He also helped me personally with who and what I should be discussing when looking for referrals. Go and see Andy speak, even better hire him for your organisation.
Rod Sloane, Sales and Marketing Alignment Strategist Author of “Alignment The Secret to Getting your Sales and Marketing Teams Working Together"
“I approached Andy while CEO & Founder of ClassJet Europe. Andy helped us come-up with the branding strategy and was key in helping us develop an innovative strategy to serve the High Net Worth Individual market. Andy also helped in recruiting some of the team that worked on the project ClassJet.
If you're a business start-up and/or need to turn your business around Andy is your man with his connections and business savvy he'll make you a winner!”
Fabrizio Poli, CEO and Founder, Class Jet Europe ltd
“Andy is the consummate professional conference Chairman. He is the glue which holds each of the speakers together and puts each and every one of the speakers at ease, which is vital to the success of any conference.
He is very highly networked and is very generous in both his connections and his feedback ... both of which are once again vital to the smooth running and residual added value that these events should bring.
If you care about making a good impression and want some workable ideas for after-conference activity that mean that people CONTINUE to talk about your event, Andy is your man.
Bill Morrow, Founder and CEO, Angels Den
“I invited Andy to share his knowledge and insights around networking with all our Footdown leaders. His inspiring and passionate contribution has shifted our whole approach to the way we engage and enthuse leaders who work with us to be the best they can be.
Mike Roe, Chief Executive, Footdown
“You very kindly carried out an event for the Central London Retail Personnel Group.
I thought you would be interested to know that one of the Peter Jones managers, who was facing potential redundancy, has found himself another job, working for Kent police.
He attributed him galvanizing himself into action purely to your session!
A success story, I think!
Kim McGrath Personnel Procedures Manager, Peter Jones, Chair of Central London Retail Personnel Group
“Andy is a true expert in his field and has a very good approach to drawing out the most important messages on networking and referral strategies and helping members see how they can be applied directly to their own businesses.
Members are left in no doubt that generating new business via networking and referral activities should be regarded as a fundamental sales activity like any other and should therefore be properly planned, measured for effectiveness and evaluated on the basis of return on investment - it's much more than simply going to networking events and should be taken much more seriously by business leaders and not left to chance - a great message and a skilled presenter combined to deliver a highly valuable session.
Lots of practical take-away value with some highlights being
1) Make sure you're clear about your objectives for your networking and referral activities.
2) Develop a proper strategy for networking activities supported by an allocated budget and a clear commitment in time - don't leave it to chance
3) Measure the results and evaluate your investment - if it's not working change the strategy and try a different approach
Gordon Bromley, Chairman, Academy for Chief Executives Surrey CEO Forum Group14 & Entrepreneurs Board 08
“Andy has delivered his Networking for Career Change presentation to people made redundant or at threat of redundancy from retail on two occasions now, and on both occasions he has left attendees brimming with ideas about how they can find employment via a non traditional route.
The attendees at our events are often of mixed life and work experience and some have lost motivation to find work. At the event on the 29th April Andy not only gave each attendee tips about how to use their network, but also a drive and enthusiasm to go out and find the job that they want. His flair for presenting and ability to mix effortlessly between people of different personalities is second to none.”
Anthony Mills, EAP Manager, Retail Trust
“Ever since I first met Andy in September 2007 when he did an opening keynote at my office building I have been impressed with him as a speaker. However, I have had the pleasure of working with him now as the chairman of 3 events I have run. His background and expertise in networking gives him a unique approach to tackling this task.
Andy's approach focuses on the people - so in the case of a conference he is keen to understand both who the attendees / audience are (what they have been promised / what they expect) and who the speakers are.
He introduces each speaker as if he had known them for years - and he manages to do this because he has invested time in researching their backgrounds or in many cases from having had a phone conversation with them.
On the day he keeps the conference to time, facilitates questions from the audience and ensures all speakers are at ease, can use the equipment and that the support staff are ready to deal with issues arising.
He is exceptionally good at the opening and closing words - setting the ethos of the event, again with some reference to his subject expertise, networking.
Finally the key "take out" points he captures during your conference provide you with an invaluable set of notes from which he can write an accurate and engaging review for you!
So, if you want to hire the ultimate conference chairman for your event I cannot recommend him highly enough. Given the cost of producing a typical conference Andy's fee is without a shadow of a doubt a totally worthwhile investment in success - buying his services is like buying a guarantee that your event will run smoothly.”
Clare Rayner Retail Acumen Ltd. Director, The BIG Event and The Retail Conference
“Andy is Mr. Network. He has an amazing ability to put people together and he shows you how to do the same to increase your contacts, business and success. He is an amazing speaker who will deliver results to your organisation.
Simon Zutshi, Founder, Property Investors Network
“After joining a teleseminar with Andy as the guest speaker, I implemented a number of the ideas Andy raised when going to a networking event later that week.
Using Andy's techniques, I found myself more at ease approaching people and more focused on what impression I wanted others to form of me. Problems that had previously made networking difficult were no longer an issue.
From just that one event I have made two key connections and have follow up meetings with both. I'm confident that I would have made neither of those connections without Andy's advice and support. ”
“I had the benefit of seeing Andy speak about getting referrals at Sage World 2010 and found the talk both informative and enjoyable. The
lessons I took away have helped my business to gain several referrals that I would potentially never thought of.
I would recommend if you get the chance to see him talk, go. It will undoubtedly help you in some way.”
Kat Durrant, Wildfire Digital Media
“I have heard Andy speak on the subject of using networking to gain referrals and he manages to simplify the process so that everyone goes away with some easily defined actions. We then worked together on a special event on making the most of using LinkedIn for referrals and we had a brilliant half day session. Those who attended rated Andy with top marks and we all got a huge amount out of it. It was very hands on and therefore even more effective. Thanks Andy!! More of that in 2011please!!”
Louise Punter, Chief Executive Office, Surrey Chambers of Commerce
“Andy is one of my networking gurus - he's my go-to point for any questions or queries relating to networking, networking techniques and networking problems - whether it's face to face networking or online. He's an engaging and pragmatic speaker and clearly shares his knowledge of networking with an audience and brings them into the conversation - tackling tricky networking issues in a no-nonsense way that is really useful in terms of developing your own networking expertise. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andy as a speaker and indeed have done many times before and will continue to do so in the future!”
Maggie Berry, MD, Women in Technology, a network of 6,500+ women working in IT in the UK.
“I first saw Andy at the Sageworld conference in Manchester, 2011. His talk on the use of LinkedIn has radically changed how I use the platform and I implemented many changes that night, as soon as I got home from the conference.
The SpotMe devices that were used at SageWorld allowed me to contact Andy after his talk and I was very fortunate to talk with him over a coffee in between speakers.
Andy has an excellent understanding of the way relationships can be built in both on and offline networking environments and was a great deal of help to me and excellent source of advice when I was thinking of starting my own referral group.
Andy has an envious network of individuals, experts and business leaders that he can refer at an instant to the right people. Only this week did he make a connection with some business activities we do and someone he knows. Offering an introduction, should the time be right.
I can only hope that, one day, I'll be in the position to help Andy as he has helped me.”
Ecommerce Manager, Denbigh Army Surplus Ltd
“I saw Andy give a keynote at the PSA MEGA Convention in 2016. Getting up in front of 300 professional speaking peers, Andy gave a moving and meaningful talk that I don't think any of us will forget. His honesty and humanity, as well as the important message about reaching out for help when you need it, was as powerful as it was vulnerable. 'Networking' as a topic can often seem forced... about tools and techniques to 'work a room' or 'get noticed' - Andy's take on it in this talk was so far removed from the glib truisms we've all heard before. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any group in which reaching out for the support of others is the key to personal and professional success. ”
Bryony Thomas, Watertight Marketing
